Treatment of Lower lip Mucocele with Diode Laser – A Novel Approach
ثبت نشده
چکیده
Mucoceles are benign, mucus containing cystic lesions of the minor salivary glands. Most dental literature reports a higher incidence of mucocele in young patients, with trauma being a leading cause. The purpose of this report was to describe a clinical case of a 22 year old female with a 6 mm mucocele on the lower lip treated by a high-intensity diode laser. Diode laser surgery provided satisfactory results, which was rapid, bloodless, and well accepted by patients. Postoperative problems, discomfort, and scarring were minimal. The histopathological report confirmed the presurgical diagnosis. No relapse was observed upto one year after surgery. Annals of Dental Research (2013) 2 Suppl 1, 102-108

Excision Of Mucocele By Using Diode Laser: A Case Report
Background: Mucocele is the second most common benign soft tissue tumour occurring in the oral cavity. Clinically, a mucocele is characterized by an increase in volume, with a bubble-like shape that contains saliva, and is similarly colored to that of the normal mucosa or it may present blue coloration, depending on whether it is deep or superficial, respectively. A mucous cyst is common and ha...

متن کاملCongenital Mucocele of The Lower Lip: Case Report and Literature Review
Introduction: Mucoceles are described as asymptomatic benign soft tissue masses of the oral cavity. They are soft, smooth, spherical, translucent and fluctuant in the clinical appearance. The most common site of the mucocele is the interior surface of the lower lip followed by the tongue, floor of mouth (ranula), and the buccal mucosa. Case Reports: This is a case of a 2-year-old girl referr...
متن کاملTreatment of lentigines by a novel high power diode laser at 755 nm: a case report
The use of high-power diode laser with a wavelength of 755 nm is an effective and safe method for the correction and partial and/or total elimination of pigmented lesions, specifically solar lentigines. This wavelength has yet not been used in diode lasers to treat solar lentigines. Side effects are the usual ones, including darkening and scab formation. Our patient was a 40-year-old woman of C...
